Ok, so not really a lot of drama, but I made a cute little llama wall hanging this month! Check out my Alejandro quilt below!
My online guild had a January challenge where you sewed on two projects (THIS or THAT) all month, with the organizer choosing which one each day. I chose my old houses from the Village quilt along on Instagram back in 2021.
and this new project: Alejandro, a pattern by McKenna Ryan.
By the end of the month, I had Alejandro finished, though I still may go back and trim the tassels by his mouth. I chose the tassels and brighter colors because that is how I remember llamas from my time in Bolivia years ago.
And the houses are sandwiched and quilted. I just have to get the binding on! I’m not super happy with my quilting on this one, but it is done instead of languishing in a box. It will be a lap quilt. I’ll get a photo as soon as I get it finished.
